Massive High School Swimming Pool Building with Additional Projects located in Hicksville, New York
The Hicksville Aquatic Center project is a 17,952 square foot addition to the Hicksville High School. It consists of a new Gunite with tile finish competition certified 25–yard length Swimming Pool.
Associated with the pool are equipment rooms, chemical storage areas, and filtration systems, as well as a competition timing system. All work will be in compliance with USA Swimming requirements and will also meet Nassau County Health Department requirements.
Patriot Organization was also tasked to build adjoining male and female locker rooms and toilet facilities, coaches offices, concession stands, bleachers and corridors and vestibules connecting to the existing building.
Additionally, the project included installation of new water and sewer piping,
a parking lot reconfiguration, and new (and repaired) site fencing.
The building addition is constructed of concrete, masonry and structural steel. The project required extensive excavation for the new pool, concrete reinforcement at both the pool and adjacent construction. New interior walls
will be masonry structures with masonry CMU and structural glazed tile construction. The exterior finish will be highlighted by a new curtain wall.
